One year ago the craftsvilla website contained only ethnic wear. Salwar suits, saree, lehenga but Today the website not only contain women wears but also Men’s wear and some beauty stuff. I din’t get why they had to add Beauty and food stuff on a website which is dedicated for women ethnic wear but I guess craftsvilla guys know the reason for sure. Almost all the products are from Surat, Gujrat. We all know that Surat is a giant place for unstitched suit pieces.
It was a Ramzan month and I was giving my online tests. I started my tests just 15 days before my deadline. I dint have time to go for shopping and I started looking for ethnic dresses online. From google ads I stumble upon craftsvilla.com, it had really beautiful dresses and I ordered 6 dresses for me and for my sisters, all the dresses looked so trendy yet ethnic . After few days I received my 1st parcel it was a chudidar suit piece . I always get excited to open the package even though I know what’s inside. I opened it up and my smile turned into frown. The quality of the product was very bad and the colour looked very different. I decided to return it, but return process is not as easy as other shopping websites. I contacted to customer care and they told me that they don’t provide reverse pickup I have to send the parcel within 7 days to the provided address.
These are the Dresses which I ordered from Craftsvilla. I ordered 2 suit pieces of same pattern, one in black, other in red and one pallazo with long kamiz. I did not take the photos of the other three dresses.

After having a bitter experience I imagined how my other products would be, so I decide to cancel all the remaining products but to my surprise there was no option for cancelling the orders. Then I again sent an email and explained my concern to the customer care service and they suggested me not to accept the packages at the time of delivery.
I made an account at Aramex , it was the same courier company which the seller used. I scheduled the pickup , after 2 days the courier guy picked up the parcel from my home. I started getting calls from Aramex for delivery of the remaining 5 parcels and I told them that, I don’t want to receive them. They asked few questions and I explained the reason and they cooperated.
After few weeks I got my money in my bank account.
The biggest drawback of online shopping is, you can’t touch and see the material all the products look great in the images. Even a not so good looking dress looks good on gorgeous model.
After few days my sister told me that she saw the same dress hanging on, one the stores near to my house and the price was half of what I paid online.
Shipping & Delivery:
Fast, they sent my order through Aramex and we all know that the distance from Surat to Mumbai is not something which will take forever.
Customer Service & Return:
Customer care service is responsive and you will get satisfactory answers. I had no idea what to do with my remaining 5 dresses when I couldn’t see any option for cancelling my orders . they gave me a wise piece of advice. Return process is not something which you enjoy with leading online shopping websites, where they provide reverse pickup facility here on craftsvilla you have to send back your products and they will refund the delivery charges. I had the same experience with rediff.com where they instructed me to send my mobile case but that time I just decided to keep the product because of lack of knowledge.
